Announcing Harold Auditions!
The Harold Commission would like to announce Auditions for the July-August ImprovOlympic Schedule. The auditions will take place Sunday, June 8th beginning at 3pm in the IO training Annex.

Reservations for auditions will be accepted from performers that finished 5B and were not placed on teams and from performers that were not reassigned to teams when their team was taken off of the IO schedule. In both of these cases, you either have had to have finished the IO training program in the last year or have been off of the IO schedule for no longer than twelve months.

Requests for audition slots will be accepted beginning June 2nd by calling 773-880-2186 from 1pm to 4pm. No request will be accepted until that day.Auditions will be completely improvised and you must supply a picture and resume.

The Arab/Israeli Comedy Hour! - Still Going Strong!
Israeli born commedienne Roni Geva and her Lebanese-American partner Hassan Arawas aim to bring peace through humor to the Middle East with their new, two – person comedy review, THE ARAB / ISRAELI COMEDY HOUR, directed by journalist, comedian and National Public Radio commentator Aaron freeman. THE ARAB / ISRAELI COMEDY HOUR previews Saturday, March 29th, opens April 5th in an open run. Tickets are $15.00.

Not Just a Fluke!
They haven't seen each other in 10 years. But when old friends meet again after all those years, what should they do? Put up a show, of course. Ed Dassie and Jay Sukow will let you know how it all came about when they open up their two-man, sketch comedy show "Fluke" in the Del Close Theater on Friday, May 23rd @ 10:30pm. Previews are slated for May 2nd and May 9th with Maximum Party Zone.

A Bevy of Beauties Come to the IO!
Loosely defined, a bevy is a group, a flock, a swarm, a bursting, bubbling, sweeping, crackling collective. Sharply defined, this is Bevy, a nine member all female improvisation group, aptly named because of its focus on vibrant group energy. The ladies of Bevy will be coming to the IO Sunday Nights @ 10:30pm starting April 27th!

Improv Olympic @ The Barn in Barrington!
Starting in May, live improv comedy comes to the Music Room at The Barn of Barrington on the first Saturday of every month. ImprovOlympic will be featuring the nation's best improvisational talent monthly at The Barn. Improv troupe Baby Wants Candy kicks off the improv in the round on Saturday, May 3rd.

"The comedy's free. Dinner's not." $10 cover charge; dinner guests receive free admission. Show time is 9:30pm.

Improv Olympic Training Center Expanding!
The Improv Olympic has added tons of square feet to the training center to accomodate it's ever expanding student base. The new space includes 3 theater spaces and a huge office and will allow more classes and special workshops plus more show opportunities!

Improv Olympic Debuts New Web Site!
The Improv Olympic web team has been in a flurry of activity lately. The web site has been completely redesigned in an ongoing project to better connect the Chicago theater with it's Los Angeles theater, IOWest. The site will continue to grow to encompass the two theaters and all of the activity happening around them.
